Cpl Jodi Payne, serving on Op IMPACT, was recently presented with the 386th Air Expeditionary Wing, Chief Choice Award. The citation reads:

In August 2019, teams of professional artists, landscape architects, architects, and other urban design professionals were invited to provide their credentials and examples of prior work. In summer 2020, a jury composed of experts in the fields of arts and urban design and representatives from key stakeholder groups shortlisted five design teams to create a design for the Monument.

As part of the Faces to Graves project in the Netherlands, ‘Faces to Canadian War Graves Groesbeek’ LINK is working to publish a short story of each of the Canadian soldiers buried in Groesbeek or included on their Memorial Wall. The stories are being published online LINK as they are written.

Both Iraq and Kuwait achieved independence in the 20th century. The relationship between the two countries, however, had not been smooth.
