As you will recall, the CMEA and friends of the Engineers, contributed towards planting an Oak tree to memorialize all the Canadian Engineers who served during the First World War.
The Vimy Foundation has published a list of all the people and organizations who have planted a tree in Centennial Park. See: The Vimy Foundation Centennial Park and find our effort about two-thirds down the list.

Good day fellow Engineers,
As mentioned in the CME Hockey Game article, here is the information for this year’s CME Day Ultimate/Soccer activities. Last year we were fortunate with good weather and solid participation. With such a mild spring, we’re hoping to commandeer the same field, across from the Bell Sensplex, for a friendly soccer and/or ultimate game. A fieldhouse has been booked in case of inclement weather.

Following the enduring success of our CME Classics, you are all invited to participate in the 5th NCR CME Hockey Game, Spring Classic 2024 edition. The intent of this game is to gather amongst the Engineer extended family in a friendly, yet slightly competitive, environment as to celebrate the 121st CME Day. A social hour in location has been organized following the hockey game. A huge thanks to CMEA as the main sponsor of the event.

Report on the Conference of Defence Associations AGM – 6 March 2024
The President, Louis Myre, and I, the Executive Director, attended the CDA Annual Meeting on 6 March 2024. It was hosted in the KPMG Boardroom at 150 Elgin Street, Ottawa. The meeting was well attended with representatives from 34 of the 40 member associations. The CDA has grown over the past year with eight new member associations including St John’s Ambulance, Wounded Warriors, Treble Victor Group, Concussion Legacy Foundation, and Last Post Fund having joined.
