Last summer the Friends of the Rossland Range (FORR) built three new shelters in the RosslandRange Recreation Site as part of the implementation of a management plan. The 2884 Royal Canadian Engineers Cadet Corps recently held an inspection and review at the Glencoe Arena.
The corps which attracts members from both western Elgin and Southwest Middlesex increased in numbers this year to 22 said Capt. Viki Broad, commanding officer.
The audience was treated to a program of marching and drill demonstrations, band music and presentation of awards.

Sgt. Lyle Crispin served for nearly twenty years in the Engineers. He started in 44 Fd Engr Sqn in Trail, BC in 1984 and transferred to the Regular Forces in 1987. He served three tours during his career - Cyprus, Kuwait, and Yugoslavia. Crispin retired in Gagetown in the early 2000s, moving back to his hometown of Rossland, BC.
