We regret to advise of the death of Chief Warrant Officer James Melvin "Mel" Ullett, CD (Ret’d), a resident of Perley Rideau Veterans Home in Ottawa ON, peacefully, on 2 December 2019 at the age of 93.

We regret to advise of the death of Sapper Cecil Beverly “Bev” Umbach (Ret’d) of Ponoka AB on 15 September 2004 at the age of 74 years.

We regret to advise that Lieutenant Colonel John Van Doornick CD died on 26 December 2005 at St. Paul's Hospital, Vancouver, BC.

We regret to advise of the death of Corporal Wilhelmus (William) Isidorus Van Kuik, CD (Ret’d), suddenly at his residence in Bobcaygeon, ON  on Wednesday 4 April 2018 in his 78th year.

We regret to advise that Corporal Bill Vance, CD passed away late May 2002.

Bill joined the military in 1985 in the Artillery, transferred to Communications Research in 1989 and became a Fire Fighter in Dec 2001.

We regret to advise of the death of Warrant Officer Carl Milton Vance, CD (Ret’d) on 29 October 2015 at the age of 85. Born in Bancroft, ON, Carl enlisted in the Canadian Army in October 1953.

We regret to advise of the death of Master Corporal Robert “Bob” Vatcher, CD (Ret’d) in Lethbridge AB on 12 November 2022, at the age of 74, after a period of illness. 

We regret to advise of the death of Lieutenant-Colonel J. Philip “Phil” Vaughan, peacefully at his home in Halifax, NS on 8 April 2016 at the age of 92. Phil was a President of the Military Engineers Association of Canada 1963-64.
