After more than 25 years of loyal and dedicated service to the Canadian Armed Forces and the Canadian Military Engineers Branch, Maj M.J.J.P. Bossé, CSM, CD retired on 09 August 2026.

Major Maxime Bossé enrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces in 2001. Upon graduation from the Royal Military College of Canada in Kingston in 2006 he completed his training as a Combat Engineer Officer in 2007.
Throughout his career, Major Bossé has served in multiple organizations, including 5e Régiment du Génie de Combat (5 RGC), Service Génie Montréal (CE Montréal), 1 Engineer Support Unit (1 ESU), Real Property Operations (RP Ops) det Saint-Jean, RP Ops Gp HQ, RP Ops North and the Canadian Joint Operations Command (CJOC).
In 2009, major Bossé deployed to Afghanistan as a Construction Troop Commander. In 2016, he deployed to Iraq as the Operations Officer, contributing to the establishment of the theatre in Erbil. From 2022 to 2025, he served OUTCAN in Latvia as the Task Force Engineer Advisor for Op REASSURANCE.
Major Bossé holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, both from the Royal Military College of Canada. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the province of Québec.
Major Bossé was awarded the Meritorious Service Cross and the Medal of Honourable Merit awarded by the Latvian Minister of Defence in recognition of his contributions to mission infrastructure development in Latvia. He also received an Army Commander’s Commendation for his support to the return and reintegration of injured members at the Regiment.
Major Bossé is grateful for the mentors, colleagues and friends that helped him throughout his career. He is supported by his amazing wife Natalie and their children Charlotte and Laurent. He will proudly continue serving the Canadian Armed Forces following his retirement, working as a Project Manager within Assistant Deputy Minister (Infrastructure & Environment).
