PRESIDENT’S REPORT
Hi all, as we roll into May, I reflect on the Royal Canadian Engineers, founded in 1903, that the Sappers of Canada are 123 years old. Young and old, we have a long proud history and wherever you are and whatever you are, be proud that you are serving or have served. I would also like to acknowledge all the corps that have supported the Royal Canadian Engineers, so that we can be “first in and last out”.
Another important part of history is the upcoming 6 Engr Sqn, D-Day Dinner. On June 6, 2026, it will be 82 years since the Sappers of 6 Squadron landed on JUNO Beach with 7th Canadian Infantry Brigade supporting the Regina Rifles, the Royal Winnipeg Rifles and the Canadian Scottish Regiment.
The 39 CER Association Annual General Meeting is scheduled for 1900 hours on Wednesday 20 May 2026. An Agenda and Zoom joining instructions will be issued separately by the Secretary.
