Consistent with our motto “UBIQUE,” Canadian Military Engineers are deployed on operations in many parts of the world. Some are in isolated and hazardous surroundings and it is important that we recognize the commitment and accomplishments of every individual. The Canadian Forces and Royal Canadian Legion encourage a “Write to the Troops” program. The CMEA strongly supports such initiatives and offers its version to specifically target our CME personnel.
A Post Card is available for downloading (front and back). The file prints as two cards on standard letter-size stock. It is preferable that the cards be printed in full colour but will work using "greyscale." The cards should be printed on “Card Stock” to meet Canada Post requirements. This stock can be purchased for about $0.05 per sheet from most Office Supply stores. The cards must be trimmed to the dimensions of the picture in order to meet Postal regulations. Areas where CF personnel are deployed are found at the following site: http://www.forces.gc.ca/site/community/messageboard/addresses_e.asp. If you don’t know the name of any particular soldier who is deployed, use the address: ”To any CME Serviceman” / “à tout member GMC.” And the leadership will ensure that it is delivered to someone who will truly appreciate your support and encouragement.
